Night Shift Quality Inspector

Job Summary
The inspector must support all the activities assigned to the quality department of the facility as well as provide reports to applicable management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for yard compliance to NOV policies and procedures such as but not limited to HSE and HR
- Responsible for yard compliance with the Tuboscope Threading Quality Manual requirements
- Part inspection and auditing of operator inspections per applicable quality system licensing agency or customer requirements.
- Complete inspection reports.
- Audit operators first article and inspection reports.
- Complete understanding of the inspection program.
- Complete non-conformance reports and communicate status to applicable management.
- Be able to perform all of the requirements from level 1.
- Must pass and maintain code 70 inspection certification.
- Be able to perform all of the inspection and non-conformance reporting requirements listed in standard operating procedures.
- In process audits/First part inspections.
- Manufacturing inspections.
- Receiving inspections.
- Aid with and audit facility production paperwork as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience with mechanical inspection preferred but not required.
- Ability to solve basic math equations.
- Must be able to learn and operate mechanical testing equipment such as calipers micrometers and scales.
- Blueprint reading skills are preferred but not required.
- Maintain code 70 certification.
- Manage ordering and customer authorizations for proprietary items.
- Able to perform acceptance inspection on material purchased by the facility.
