New Provider Verification Supervisor

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking an experienced and qualified professional to fulfill the responsibilities of a New Provider Verification Supervisor for the Bureau of Investigations. This position will oversee staff tasked with enrolling providers referred from Provider Enrollment Services and Illinois Medicaid Program Advance Cloud Technology. OIG is seeking an individual with strong office experience and customer service skills to add to our professional team. Qualified applicants should have strong leadership skills be able to make effective recommendations for the New Provider Verification program and follow policies and procedures. The desired applicant must be able to plan prioritize and follow up on assignments and/or tasks and ensure timely completion.

• Under general direction serves as the New Provider Verification Supervisor in planning managing andevaluating the New Provider Verification Program (NPV) program by facilitating the enrollment of providers referredfrom Provider Enrollment Services (PES) / Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT)
• Serves as a working supervisor
• Directs the NPV program within the overall mission of the Office of Inspector General
• Oversees the work product and productivity of NPV
• Serves as NPV Supervisor Liaison
• Provides technical assistance on IMPACT to supervisory and investigative staff in obtaining information fromvarious third-party resources
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumeratedabove

• Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college preferably withcourses in business or public administration
• Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization

• Three (3) years of professional experience working with IMPACT or a similar Medicaid Program Advanced CloudTechnology system
• Three (3) years of professional investigative research experience
• Three (3) years of professional experience interpreting and applying a states Administrative Code preferably for the State of Illinois
• Three (3) years of professional experience analyzing administrative problems and adopting an effective course of action
• Three (3) years of professional experience developing implementing and interpreting policies and procedures for a public or private organization

• Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history
• Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties with overnight stays as appropriate
• Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
