Primary Responsibilities:
The Network/Systems Engineer provides advanced technical expertise supporting the Service Desk and APR organizations. The engineer performs root-cause analysis systems troubleshooting infrastructure diagnostics trend analysis and supports resolution of complex enterprise technology issues impacting USPTO operations.
Additionally in this position you will:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of network server endpoint and infrastructure issues.
- Support escalated incidents affecting enterprise operations.
- Conduct root-cause and trend analysis on recurring technical issues.
- Analyze performance stability and availability metrics.
- Support major incident response and service restoration activities.
- Assist with knowledge article development and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement.
- Support continuity of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering or related field.
- Five (5) years of network or systems engineering experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.
- Knowledge of networking Active Directory cloud technologies and endpoint management.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Desired Skills:
- Microsoft Certified Professional.
- Azure Administrator.
- CompTIA Network or Security.
- ITIL Foundation.
