Network Engineer II

Essential Functions

Network Engineering and Operations

• Support enterprise routing switching wireless firewall VPN and WAN infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and service disruptions.

• Monitor network performance reliability and capacity.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

• Maintain operational support documentation and network diagrams.

Infrastructure Projects

• Implement approved network designs and standards.

• Deploy network equipment and services.

• Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Support site expansions office moves facility changes and technology refreshes.

• Coordinate testing validation and transition to operational support.

Security and Compliance

• Support firewall administration and network security controls.

• Implement approved network access and segmentation requirements.

• Assist in cybersecurity investigations and remediation activities.

• Maintain compliance with corporate security policies and IT governance requirements.

• Support audit and compliance requests.

Change and Incident Management

• Execute changes through approved change-management processes.

• Participate in incident response and major incident activities.

• Develop implementation plans rollback plans and validation procedures.

• Document actions risks dependencies and outcomes.

Vendor and Carrier Management

• Coordinate with telecommunications and internet service providers.

• Escalate service issues and track corrective actions.

• Support vendor onboarding evaluations and technical reviews.

• Assist with service migrations and carrier implementations.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Update network diagrams and operational procedures.

• Contribute toknowledge articles and support documentation.

• Participate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing activities.
