Position Summary
We are seeking an Entry-Level Network Engineer to support enterprise-scale infrastructure in a global production environment. This role provides hands-on experience in monitoring troubleshooting and automating network services supporting enterprise platforms within the F5 Digital organization.
You will collaborate with senior engineers within our Infrastructure team and contribute to operational excellence reliability and performance optimization initiatives. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking to develop expertise in network operations and engineering.
This role is Seattle WA-based and offers a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routers switches firewalls load balancers)
Monitor and analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities
Support configuration management and change control processes
Contribute to network automation initiatives using industry-standard tools
Maintain accurate documentation and network topology diagrams
Respond to and resolve network-related incidents and service requests
Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborative problem-solving with the team
Support the deployment and monitoring of network services in production environments
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Strong foundational understanding of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP UDP DNS DHCP etc.)
Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible Terraform) and/or Python scripting language
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices network administration and troubleshooting methodologies
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team-driven environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic technical environment
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in emerging AI technologies for network management
CompTIA Network or equivalent certification
Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

The annual base pay for this position is: $71100.00 - $106700.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business.
