Network Engineer 3

Work location: Onsite in San Diego CA
Schedule: 8:00AM-5:00PM (9x80 A)
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 contract
Work authorization: US Citizen; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance level

Position summary:

• TheNetwork Engineer 3will support various programs within the Connectivity and Networked Solutions (CNS) Business Unit (BU).
• As a member of the CNS BU department youll get to support engineering efforts towards network operations and security.

• Design and plan network communication systems.
• Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conduct testing of network design.
• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection such as routers multiplexers firewalls hubs bridges gateways etc.
• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

• 5 Years with Bachelors in Science in a STEM field OR3 Years with Masters in a STEM field OR1 Year with PhD in a STEM field
• CompTIA Network or similar certification
• Experience with Juniper SDWAN and Cisco Routers and Switches
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance level.

• CompTIA Security Certification
• CCNA Certification
