Roles & Responsibilities
Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end design planning and deployment readiness of Microsoft CorpNet infrastructure across global datacenters. The engineer owns network solution design from project intake through deployment support and project closure ensuring secure scalable and standards-compliant LAN WAN and WLAN connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Design LAN WAN and WLAN network architectures including IP addressing VLAN planning uplinks and device configurations.
Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) Low-Level Designs (LLDs) wireless designs and Bill of Materials
Present and defend designs in Microsoft Design Review Boards and obtain technical approvals.
Collaborate with ITIMs WWT Site Operations CSEO and deployment teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Support deployment execution perform post-deployment validation network stability testing and troubleshooting.
Ensure successful project closure through design validation documentation updates lessons learned and operational handover.
Drive standardization risk mitigation and governance across datacentre network deployments globally.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Enterprise/Data Center Networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
Experience with network design routing switching wireless infrastructure IP addressing and network deployment.
Ability to create technical design documentation BoMs and deployment plans.
Stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
Strong troubleshooting communication and documentation capabilities.
Experience with large-scale datacenter infrastructure projects is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of networking experience.
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification.
Exposure to Microsoft datacenter CorpNet or large-scale infrastructure deployment programs.
