Native Software Engineer Maps Developer Platform

As a Native Platform Engineer on the Maps Developer Platform team you will work at the intersection of system frameworks developer tooling and cartographic technology. We build the APIs and tools powering the Apple Maps Developer experience. On our team you will help us take new features from conceptualization through design and implementation all the way to announcing them at Apples Developer Conference! Furthermore you will partner directly with a wide range of clients to build highly impactful mapping solutions including FindMy Weather Photos and 3rd party developers.

Elicit requirements from our clients and translate them into scalable reliable review and implement 3rd party developer APIs u0026 cross-functionally with Human Interaction Design Services and other Engineering and Data launch and maintain cross-platform features that integrate Maps with the Apple ecosystem.

Bachelors in Computer Science and at least 2 years of software engineering experience in a production environmentnExcellent verbal and written communication skills ability to explain complex problems clearly and succinctlynPassion to collaborate and iterate on ideas in a cross-functional teamnProficiency in Swift and/or Objective-CnFamiliarity with SwiftUI and/or UIKitnExperience writing testable code and familiarity with unit testing frameworks

At least 6 years of full-time relevant work experiencenFamiliarity with system architecture and API designnProven track record of architecting developing releasing and supporting critically important software componentsnFamiliarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or other spatial visualization systems
