Job Summary

Summary

This position is located in the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale Welfare and Recreation Department for NAS Lemoore. The Incumbent performs the duties of a Motor Vehicle Operator responsible for picking up orders and supplies delivery of takeout food orders and for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of equipment.


Duties

  • Delivers food orders to Patrons (ie: Pizza Spaghetti soda) on board station.
  • Ensures vehicles are properly maintained and reliable. Maintains trip records or logs showing departure time trip mileage and other required reporting information. Prepares reports and paperwork as required.
  • Maintains cleanliness of area surrounding the building such as exterior walkways and yards. Picks up trash and debris found around the facility or caused by operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have a current/valid state issued drivers license.
  • Must have general vehicle operation experience.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:

  • Skill to read and understand a road map to determine the shortest and safest route.
  • Knowledge of defensive driving techniques to avoid accidents to transport items safely.
  • Knowledge and skill to conduct preventative maintenance of vehicles.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and obtain a food handlers certificate.
  • Must be able to answer telephones and take delivery orders.
  • Must be courteous friendly and able to work well with others.
Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

IC
