Job Description
Duties:
- Interpret drawings schematics blueprints and work instructions to determine materials dimensions and installation requirements.
- Support equipment reconfiguration relocation and commissioning activities including rigging and material handling.
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with customers engineers supervisors and vendors to complete work safely accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate work logs work orders job documentation and material receipts.
- Order materials track parts and assist with inventory organization and control.
- Operate and maintain hand tools power tools shop equipment and applicable construction or maintenance equipment.
- Follow all safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements; actively promote a strong safety culture.
- Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced trades personnel when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in relative field a plus.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in a multicraft mechanical industrial laboratory or facilities support role; or equivalent combination of experience technical training and vocational education.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex crossdisciplinary trade work in an industrial or technical environment. Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record required.
- Trade certifications vocational training or technical coursework strongly preferred (but not required).
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
- Familiar with R&D Lab research complexes
