Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech Level 4

• High school diploma or GED.

• Technical degree or certification in HVAC Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.

• EPA Section 608 Certification.

• Minimum of 2 years of HVAC maintenance experience preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems refrigeration systems electrical controls and mechanical equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.

• Proficient with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience maintaining industrial chillers boilers cooling towers and plant air handling systems.

• Familiarity with PLC controls building automation systems (BAS) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.

• Welding or fabrication experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Ability to climb ladders work from elevated platforms and enter confined spaces.

• Ability to stand walk bend crouch and work in varying temperatures for extended periods.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and industrial facility environment.

• Exposure to heat cold noise dust and moving mechanical equipment.

• Occasional overtime weekends and on-call responsibilities required.

Our Emerson Plywood and Veneer manufacturing in Emerson Arkansas has an opening for a skilled Multi-Craft Level 4 with a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment process and techniques to safely repair modify install and maintain the facility and high-tech manufacturing equipment. The Technician is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the manufacturing facility. This position ensures that building environmental systems operate safely efficiently and reliably to support production processes employee comfort and regulatory compliance.

The pay for this role is $33.93 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC refrigeration and ventilation equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair air handlers chillers cooling towers window units mini splits exhaust fans make-up air units and associated controls.

• Monitor and maintain facility temperature humidity and air quality systems.

• Inspect HVAC systems to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain and repair pneumatic electric and electronic control systems.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using testing instruments and software.

• Support energy management and equipment reliability initiatives.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

• Collaborate with production engineering and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

• Respond to emergency equipment failures during scheduled and off-shift hours as needed.

• Ensure compliance with environmental safety and plant operating procedures.

• Assist with contractor oversight during HVAC installations upgrades and major repairs.

• Maintain refrigerant handling certifications and comply with EPA regulations.
