MRI Technologist Float Twin Cities Orthopedics

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physicians orders while providing excellent service to patients.

Part-time (0.8 FTE) Float MRI Technologist to mainly cover our Edina and Eden Prairie locations. Could also work our Burnsville location as well. Mainly days and some evening shifts hours typically range from 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Availability to cover 1 weekend a month. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
• Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
• Maintain patient files including internal and external films
• Prepare clean and stock work area with supplies
• Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
• Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
• May include IV contrast administration as needed
• Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
• ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance ARMRIT Certified or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.

Benefits & Compensation:

• Actual starting pay will vary based on education skills and experience.

• The pay range displayed reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

• A $4000 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.â

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
• Frequentlylift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequentlypush/pull patients up to 50 pounds or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Frequentlystand walk bend and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
• Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer phone printer).
