A healthcare facility in Troy NY is seeking an experienced MRI Technician for a 90-day onsite contract assignment. This role supports the Radiology Department by performing independent MRI scans producing high-quality diagnostic imaging and delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations
Perform independent MRI scans and image acquisition procedures
Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
Ensure accurate patient documentation and image submission to PACS systems
Operate and monitor MRI equipment while maintaining imaging quality standards
Follow radiation safety procedures and departmental protocols
Assist with maintaining clean organized imaging and procedure areas
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of MRI Technician experience required
Minimum 2 years of independent MRI scanning experience required
Current MRI certification (ARRT or equivalent) required
Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License or equivalent required
Strong understanding of MRI equipment operation and imaging procedures
Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environments
Nice-to-Haves
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
Previous traveler or contract healthcare experience
Experience with PACS and imaging software systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Compensation
$70.10/hour
40 hours per week
