Onsite 90-Day Contract Evening Shift
Pay Rate: $70.10/hour
Role Overview
A healthcare facility in Troy NY is seeking an experienced MRI Technician for a 90-day onsite contract assignment. This role supports the Radiology Department by performing independent MRI scans producing high-quality diagnostic imaging and delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations
- Perform independent MRI scans and image acquisition procedures
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
- Ensure accurate patient documentation and image submission to PACS systems
- Operate and monitor MRI equipment while maintaining imaging quality standards
- Follow radiation safety procedures and departmental protocols
- Assist with maintaining clean organized imaging and procedure areas
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technician experience required
- Minimum 2 years of independent MRI scanning experience required
- Current MRI certification (ARRT or equivalent) required
- Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License or equivalent required
- Strong understanding of MRI equipment operation and imaging procedures
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environments
Nice-to-Haves
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Previous traveler or contract healthcare experience
- Experience with PACS and imaging software systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Compensation
- $70.10/hour
- 40 hours per week
- Evening shift schedule
- No weekends required
- 90-day contract assignment
