Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Engineer

Duties include but not limited to:

• Perform orbital mechanics modeling & simulation (M&S) (Mod/Sim) including orbit determination orbital maneuvering and spacecraft flight dynamics
• Perform link budget latency and throughput analyses for RF and optical space-based relay and space-to-ground telecommunications
• Perform assessments of satellite payload sensor phenomenology (optics/radar/RF) and product quality
• Assess end-to-end system designs against Required Performance Parameters and identify required Technical Performance Measures
• Create MS&A supporting documentation to include terms of reference study plans modeling assumptions data input/output analytic results visualizations and conclusions
• Advise the government and contractor teams of forward-looking and follow-on studies analyses to incorporate into a roadmap of future analytic planning

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph

Education: B.S. STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) in engineering discipline

Years of Experience: We are looking for a diverse set of experience levels; must have 2 years of relevant experience

• Experience using one or more of the following: C Python R SQL PostgreSQL Linux MATLAB VBA or STK
• Engineering analysis (collecting organizing analyzing data) experience
• Excellent communication skills that will allow the presentation of findings to internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with free space optical and optical space-to-ground systems
• Experience integrating MS&A and MBSE data sets using SysML
• Experience developing and maintaining MBSE models
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Experience in the development and maintenance of MS&A tools and software
