At MKBC we save lives every day by providing blood products to hospitals in PA and NJ. The Full-time Mobile Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) position supports the Blood Center by collecting blood donations (blood and blood products) safely from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. The anticipated salary starts at $18.00 per hour and is commensurate with addition Miller-Keystone offers the following to all full-time employees:

What you will be doing:
- Utilize job experience and knowledge to provide exceptional donor experiences.
- Ability to utilize all computer systems to process donors through their donor process (screening and whole blood phlebotomy and automated collections when appropriate).
- Take personal responsibility for donor safety complying with all Blood Center standard procedures and other regulatory standards.
- Set-up all supplies and equipment completion of daily QC and assure all equipment and supplies are available before the collection event.
What you will bring to the role:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
- 6 months experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
- 1 years experience in customer service is strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse people and communicate (verbal written and listening) fluently in English
- Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools such as Microsoft Office and ability to use software relevant to the position
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions seeking guidance as necessary.
Additional information: This position reports directly to the Donor Collections Manager
Hours vary daily based on schedule and can be either 7am - 3pm and 12pm - 8pm.
To best meet the needs of our donors and community staff work a variable schedule which may include early mornings late nights and on-call to cover weekends and holidays.
A schedule is provided one to two weeks in advance.
The first month of training will take place onsite at our blood center at 1465 Valley Center Parkway Bethlehem PA.
