A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a compassionate mission-driven Optometrist to join its dynamic mobile clinical team in Sarasota FL. This optometrist position offers a flexible schedule (up to five days per week) competitive compensation mileage reimbursement and a work-life balance with no nights weekends or federal holidays required (except for rare voluntary events). Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough vision evaluations including visual acuity binocular vision IOP pupil assessments full refraction and ocular health exams
• Prescribe corrective lenses and vision devices; instruct patients in their proper use
• Accurately document diagnoses and patient care in internal systems
• Collaborate with a high-energy detail-oriented team dedicated to service excellence

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay starts at $85 per hour
• 5 days per week 6-7 hours per day
• Mileage reimbursement
• No nights weekends or federal holidays (except for select voluntary events)

Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Optometry and active Florida Optometry License
• Flexibility to commute throughout Sarasota DeSoto and Charlotte counties
• Successful completion of Department of Justice background check (LiveScan) and drug test
• All employees must meet clearance standards for a safe and healthy workplace including fingerprinting child abuse history clearance TB screening and drug testing.
