Position Overview
Keep a diverse fleet of equipment running at peak performance in this hands-on Mobile Maintenance Technician role. Youll perform preventive maintenance diagnostics troubleshooting and repairs on forklifts skid steers and company vehicles to maximize reliability and minimize downtime. Working across multiple production areas youll have the opportunity to solve mechanical and diesel equipment challenges while supporting approximately 40 pieces of mobile equipment. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys independent problem-solving preventative maintenance and making a direct impact on operational success and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Problem solve diagnose and repair a variety of systems and engines - focus will be Mobile equipment consisting of Forklifts Skid Steers and other mobile vehicles
Perform preventative routine and emergency maintenance in an effective manner to increase mobile equipment availability and efficiency at minimum cost
Follow appropriate procedures to ensure safety compliance and accuracy
Direct and manage outside vendors and contractors
Responsible for billing outside contractor work and service agreements
Continually develop and advance in mechanical knowledge related to the position
Order and control parts/supplies records and monitor inventory
Maintain records to reflect all pending scheduled and completed work
Ability to operate various types of mobile equipment
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel
Prioritize work according to the needs of the business goals and objectives

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associates Degree preferred
3-5 years relevant experience required
Valid drivers license
Mobile equipment maintenance repair experience - experience working with Forklift and Skid Steer mobile vehicles required
Hydraulic systems experience - familiarity working with DC circuits low voltage repairs etc.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing experience required - good prioritization and time management abilities
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
Working conditions could include: dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfaces
