Summary: The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance monitoring repair and operation of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with applicable standards. This role requires technical expertise adherence to safety protocols and the ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems and associated equipment including chillers air handling units condensers exhaust fans boilers and hot water pumps.
• Execute equipment maintenance including cleaning inspecting calibrating and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems at optimum performance levels.
• Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Knowledge of and ability to manage Building Automation / Control Systems to ensure effective / efficient operations within the HVAC systems that this role will support.
• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage usage and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
• Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
• Coordinate with vendors contractors and service providers to ensure excellent execution of maintenance work.

• Requires travel to assigned sites/locations including overnight travel as needed based on business demand.
• undefinedSupport continuous improvement by reviewing client service request summaries to identify recurrent operational problems evaluating vendor performance and maintaining safe workplace practices through proper hazardous materials management and tool inventory oversight.

Required Qualifications:

• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (required for handling refrigerants)
• Fall Protection Certification
• Lifting Equipment Certification (if operating powered industrial trucks)
• Confined Space Certification (if applicable)
• Evidence of applicable State or local HVAC licensing as required
• Demonstrated experience in HVAC maintenance and repair

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Work may require travel to various sites and rooftop locations
• Must be able to work in team environment with strong interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

• Work hours: Monday Friday (may vary based on site requirements). Participation also required in an On-Call rotation program for the region.
• Work performed at client locations including mechanical rooms rooftops and other facility areas
