Mobile Facility Engineer

Were looking for an experienced Mobile Engineer to support a portfolio of 1518 retail facilities throughout the Akron OH area. All locations are within approximately a 3040 mile radius making this a great opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional who enjoys variety and staying active.

This role is heavily focused on HVAC with responsibility for preventative maintenance troubleshooting repairs compliance inspections and overall facility maintenance. Youll work across multiple building systems while partnering with outside vendors when specialized support is needed.

• Perform HVAC maintenance troubleshooting repairs inspections and adjustments

• Maintain refrigeration and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation

• Conduct compliance and facility inspections across multiple locations

• Perform general building maintenance including plumbing electrical structural and life-safety systems

• Monitor equipment readings and make adjustments to maintain proper operation

• Identify safety hazards and follow all required safety procedures

• Respond to maintenance requests and customer needs professionally and promptly

• Work with outside contractors and vendors monitoring quality and completed work

• Identify recurring facility issues and help develop solutions

• Support emergency situations and respond appropriately to building system issues

• Maintain accurate records and keep work areas clean and safe

• 5 years of commercial HVAC/facilities maintenance experience

• Strong HVAC troubleshooting and repair background

• EPA Universal certification required

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems

• Ability to work independently across multiple facilities

• Comfortable working on rooftops ladders and at heights

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or related education preferred

This is an active hands-on mobile position. The role requires frequent walking climbing bending kneeling lifting working overhead and accessing rooftops and equipment using ladders up to 30 feet. Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and drive between multiple locations throughout the workday.
