As a Video Codec Algorithm Engineer within our small and dynamic group you will be at the forefront of innovation tackling complex technical challenges and playing a key role in shaping the future of video experiences across Apple products. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a deep passion for video coding and processing technologies coupled with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Spearhead Ru0026D in emerging media compression technologies and and implement innovative video compression/processing algorithms optimized for existing and future hardware with hardware and software architects to define and integrate media features and algorithms for upcoming products.

BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry in video and image coding principles algorithms and -depth knowledge of video compression standards such as H.264 programming skills in C/ software design problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Experience with both objective and subjective visual quality assessment of hardware-based techniques with the ability to develop ideas that are with video processing algorithms (e.g. scaling noise reduction tone mapping) is a in digital signal processing and information theory is a of the latest computer vision and deep learning technologies and their application to video processing is a significant collaboration written and verbal communication skills.
