This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit which develops Blue Origins Blue Moon landers and related products. This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit which develops Blue Origins multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origins mission of having millions of people living and working in space we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists technicians and engineers you will be part of a small multi-functional team. Youll help design build and commission Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for our Lunar Lander program Blue Moon -https:// a fast-paced dynamic environment you will develop hardware that supports vehicle integration test and launch operations to ensure a safe and successful mission.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • BuildSpacecraft EGSE SystemsDesignCircuits andComposeInterconnectionDesigns

  • Collaborate with Test Systems and Flight Hardware Design Engineers developing featuresfunctionality and safety requirementsfor EGSE.EnsureEGSEmeetsrequirements and delivery schedules.

  • EngagewithEGSESoftwaredevelopmentEngineers to integrate control dataacquisitionand archivalhardwarewith the LunarsIntegrated Ground System (IGS) spacecrafttesting software.

  • Develop document and author EGSE System Design DescriptionsInterface Control Documents (ICDs) Requirements Cross Verification Matrix

  • Create schematics specifications andStatements ofWork for hardware and design services procurement from internal and external vendors.

  • ComposeTest Plans Test Procedures and conduct EGSE verification tests and commissioning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree inElectronics Engineering ElectricalEngineeringor related technical discipline

  • 2 years of related technical hands-on experience incomplex electrical systems& circuitdesign documentation and fabrication.

  • Experience withcommon data acquisition systems and hardware controls engineering andtheirintegration with sensors.

  • Knowledge of the theory of operation of sensors for various measurement applications (pressure temperature displacement force acceleration etc.)

  • Experience with electronic test equipment (multi-meters oscilloscopesfunction generators network& spectrumanalyzersRF Power Meter etc.)

  • Ability to work rotating shiftsweekendsand travel to support business needs

  • Travel Facilitating EGSEdesignfabrication and delivery will require occasionalshort-termtravel to vendors and other Blue Origin locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree in ElectronicsElectricalEngineeringor related technical discipline

  • Experience with spacecraftaircraft or launch vehicle integration and test systems.

  • Experience designing circuit card assemblies test cable harnesses andElectrical/Mechanical packaging.

  • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) & Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) noise reduction shielding and analog filteringexperience.

  • Complex hardware and software system troubleshootingincludingcauseand corrective action closure.

  • Designand orutilizationofserial communication interfaces such asRS-232/422/485 protocols.

  • Working knowledge of languages such as LabVIEW C/C Python Rockwell Automation Studio 5000

  • Experienceutilizingone or more of the following CAD Applications and product data Management (PDM) Management Systems; AutoCAD Autodesk Creo SOLIDWORKS Windchill DOORSVISIO

  • Experience developing electrical test hardware to any of the following standards and specifications:

  • IPC-A-600FIPC-A-610G IPC-WHMA-A-620D IPC-A-630 IPC J-STD-001G SAE AS39029D
