Military DoD SkillBridge Program Engineering Technician

As a SkillBridge technician you will support the GE engineering team within the GE Aerospace Advanced Electro-Pneumatic Test Lab. Within this role you will be given task-based assignments and mentoring in support of GE Aerospace product development/testing test equipment and production support. Assignments may include but are not limited to creating/maintaining custom engineering test setups set up and running data acquisition equipment performing tests on various test articles and reporting/documenting results of tests and measurements.

Responsibilities or Potential Skill Achievements:

• Test assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications.
• Set up test equipment and test pneumatic or electrical products using established test procedures and schematics.
• Provide technical assistance to other technicians and engineers.
• Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests as required to draw conclusions.
• Identify recommended process improvements.
• Keep workstation tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
• Understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Active Military personnel on their last 180 days of Military service

Desired Characteristics:

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Comfortable with hands-on activities including troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment.
