The Okemos Public Schools is accepting applications for an outstanding science educator. The ideal Chippewa Middle School science teacher candidate will facilitate science instruction to a diverse group of middle school students.

Qualifications:

• Teaching certification with a Science Endorsement (DI or DX).
• Must be highly qualified to teach science.
• Professional collaborative and collegial problem solver.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with middle level students.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues.
• Connects well with caregivers.
• Growth and asset-minded . . . each day is a get-to day.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in differentiated instruction and utilized multiple teaching methods.
• Strong communication skills.
• Highly organized.
