Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing continuous operations of HVAC and site monitoring systems across the campus. This role ensures safe compliant and reliable utility and facility operations during assigned shifts while leading frontline response and coordination activities. This position schedule is a rotating shift days to nights to support 24/7 operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support operation of campus building automation and critical utility systems

  • Respond to alarms system deviations and equipment issues in real time

  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for issue resolution

  • Ensure systems operate within defined performance and compliance parameters

  • Serve as first responder for site events

  • Initiate responses and escalations per site procedures and processes

  • Monitor building automation systems

  • Identify abnormal trends and initiate corrective actions

  • Ensure timely documentation and communication of events and system status

  • Support shift reports and operational metrics tracking

  • Lead and direct shift personnel contractors and support staff

  • Ensure proper shift handoffs and communication of critical information

  • Enforce safety policies procedures and safe by choice behaviors

  • Provide real-time decision-making during off-hours and emergency situations

  • Ensure adherence to GMP safety and environmental regulations

  • Support audits inspections and documentation requirements

  • Drive a strong safety culture and incident prevention mindset

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical degree required (engineering or related field preferred)

  • 5 years of experience in facilities utilities or plant operations

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation systems (BAS)

  • Required to work rotating shifts including nights weekends and holidays

The salary range for this role is

$106200.00 - $167200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
