Job Title: Mfg Equipment Maintenance Tech 2
Location: Sunnyvale CA
Duration: 12 Months


Shift: Early Morning

Primary Function of Position
Ensure Equipment Fixture and Tooling are calibrated before their due date according to current SOP to assure any Equipment Fixture or Tooling are available for manufacturing or inspection of any accessories or products manufactured on the site. Executes Preventive Maintenance on time and according to applicable ERP systems. Support on Unplanned Maintenance in a timely manner and escalate to Engineering any repair not covered by PMC documentation or work instructions. Reports any equipment or fixture with low productivity to be evaluated or fixed.

Essential Job Duties
Safety:

Follows GMPs and all safety guidelines. Utilizes safety equipment to perform his/her endeavors.
Utilize the correct tooling and equipment according to process or PMC requirement reporting any condition of wear or damaged tooling or equipment.
Escalates any safety issues with supervisor or manager.
Report any safety device on equipment that is faulty or is suspicious of damage.
Follows 6S methodology in his/her areas.
Document and execute LOTO process when required by a procedure.

Quality:
Performs PM or Calibration before it expires (due date) including any top-level EFT and peripheral assets of such EFTs and inputs results in the ERP/SAP system.
When specified utilize raw materials (when required) to check equipment fixture or tool performance.
Follow-up/fulfill EEs to be recorded into the ERP/SAP system after PM or Calibration during unplanned PM or Calibration.
Record completed work on assets in ERP/ SAP and updates the expiration date label on the asset for any EFT after PM or Calibration is performed.
Records on Quality Notifications that require an EE describing problems and verification results.
Requests ECOs from the Engineering Department or QO Engineer to update or modify any PMC document that does not comply with current PMC activities or equipment use.
Adhering to GDP guidelines.

Preventive Maintenance:
The core of the role encompassing the ability to perform routine inspections lubrication adjustments and repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns.

Efficiency:
Perform tasks based off work instructions to installation diagnostic repair and maintenance to process equipment tooling or fixtures that procedures indicate required.
Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects kaizen or just do it events.
As required provide support to production and/or Engineering during equipment and/or process validation.

People:
Follows ISI policies rules and code of conduct.
Required Experience and Education

Labor Experience:
Preventive Maintenance 2 year preferred

Education:
Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Technical studies Professional studies or Professional studies for at least 2 years Electro mechanic electronic or Mechanical Engineer or similar preferred.

Required Skills
Foundational Skills
Computer Literacy:
Basic computer skills are essential for accessing manuals and generating reports.
Microsoft office Outlook.
SAP and/or Agile system Neptune preferred.
Basic Math Skills:
Essential for calculations related to measurements adjustments tolerances material requirements and other tasks encountered in maintenance work.
Communication Skills:
Clear communication with team members and other departments is essential for efficient maintenance operations.
Time Management:
Balancing preventive maintenance tasks with urgent repairs requires suitable time management skills.
Attention to Detail.
PMC requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of the equipment are thoroughly inspected and maintained.
Core Technical Skills:
Using Hand and Power Tools:

Proficiency with a variety of tools is necessary for maintenance and repairs. Competence in using a wide range of hand and power tools including specialized measuring instruments such as dial calipers multimeters micrometers feeder gauges preferred.

Troubleshooting:
The ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical electrical and other technical issues quickly and effectively pinpointing the root cause of malfunctions.
Specialized Technical Skills

Mechanical Skills:
A strong understanding of mechanical systems including gears bearings shafts hydraulics and pneumatics for maintaining and repairing equipment.
Electrical Skills:
Diagnose and repair electrical issues including familiarity with wiring control panels and automation systems.
Metrology:
Measurement instruments such as dial calipers multimeters micrometers feeder gauges for accurate measurements and adjustment preferred.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems:
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems components and operation with the ability to quickly troubleshoot identify and repair equipment malfunctions.
Reading Technical Manuals and Schematics:
Understand and interpret technical documentation for understanding equipment and procedures.

Preferred Skills and Experience
Understanding mechanical drawings and blueprints preferred.
Basic electronic knowledge.
Ability to read and correctly execute work from documented work instruction.
Ability to learn and assimilate knowledge quickly into productive habits.
Working Conditions
Ability to lift 30lbs
