Job Summary

The Metallurgical Engineering Co-op will be responsible for various short/long term projects to gather and analyze data required for efficient design/processing of forgings for seamless rolled rings and open and closed die forgings.

Essential Functions

  • Participate as a multidisciplinary engineering team member
  • Assist with the design development integration and testing of projects
  • Collect organize analyze and document data specifications and spreadsheets
  • Participate in the quality assurance and quality control process of projects
  • Provide technical support to the assigned team or department
  • Complete a cost improvement project
  • Comply with PCC Code of Conduct requirements

Required Experience

  • Excellent mathematical analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC programs including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Experience

  • Completion of an introductory materials course
  • Experience working with and researching on metal alloys

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required

  • Actively enrolled in a four-year engineering degree program with second-year standing or higher
  • Mechanical Manufacturing Materials Aerospace or related engineering degrees preferred

Additional Requirements

  • This position requires 20 hours per week minimum onsite (hours may be slightly modified to accommodate for school schedule)
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
