Qualifications
ALA accredited M.L.S/M.L.I.S. degree. At least one year of professional experience with cataloging and metadata creation including original or complex cataloging using RDA and MARC 21. Familiarity with metadata tools systems (e.g. OCLCs Connexion Bibliographic Formats and Standards Library of Congress Classification Web). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated interest in expanding beyond traditional cataloging and metadata into emerging or data-related areas of librarianship. Ability or potential to meet University requirements for scholarship and service associated with tenure and promotion.
