Job Summary:

Job duties will include providing drafting support to engineers and designers throughout the engineering design process. Work will primarily focus on Autodesk Revit (BIM) model and AutoCAD drawing development of construction drawing packages based on various datasets and engineer input completing engineer markups during the design process preparing design concepts completing as-built drawings and the creation or modification of details.

Responsibilities:

This position combines advanced engineering technology expertise with BIM management design integration quality assurance and client engagement. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD with demonstrated experience producing and coordinating complex MEP design and construction documents integrating non-native files into BIM workflows and supporting multidisciplinary project delivery. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to oversee BIM execution drive modeling consistency and coordination and support project quality schedules and deliverable requirements.

Work assignments are highly varied and require flexibility initiative and versatility across the mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) design and drafting disciplines. Experience with additional building systems including communications fire alarm and fire protection is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide MEP drafting and design support for new construction renovation and facility modification projects utilizing Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD at LOD 200 300 and 350.
• Develop and coordinate HVAC electrical plumbing and fire protection systems within BIM models including layouts equipment plans ductwork piping risers schedules details and construction documentation.
• Set up and maintain BIM models using company Revit standards including project views sheets levels grids model alignment and coordination with architectural and structural disciplines.
• Apply client standards BIM Execution Plans (BxPs) project requirements and documentation guidelines to ensure compliant BIM deliverables and construction documents.
• Perform BIM coordination and clash detection using Revit and Navisworks identifying and resolving interdisciplinary conflicts throughout design and construction phases.
• Prepare and maintain accurate construction record and as-built drawings utilizing redlines RFIs field verification and engineer direction.
• Lead and perform QA/QC reviews of BIM models and construction documents to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers architects clients vendors and project stakeholders to support successful project execution and technical accuracy.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit AutoCAD and ACC/BIM 360 environments with strong knowledge of BIM workflows construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Lead and support inter-office BIM and drafting efforts by coordinating project teams standards workflows and modeling consistency across multiple offices.
• Apply a thorough understanding of MEP building systems to accurately interpret engineering design intent and develop construction-ready documentation.
• Demonstrate strong organizational communication problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills while managing multiple projects priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for document review markup collaboration and construction document workflows.
• Experience with third-party 3D modeling platforms such as PTC Creo SOLIDWORKS Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
• Experience developing drafting and BIM proposals including scopes of work assumptions exclusions labor estimates and resource planning.
• Familiarity with Autodesk ReCap Pro point cloud processing Scan-to-BIM workflows and laser scanning technologies.
• Experience collecting and utilizing reality-capture data to support BIM modeling coordination and documentation efforts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Background: AS in Drafting and Design (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 6 years of drafting and design experience utilizing Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD with direct experience producing MEP construction documentation and BIM deliverables.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (2020-26 versions) including understanding and experience in application of the following:
• Initiating and managing BIM models using company standards and templates.
• Applying project coordinate systems and maintaining model alignment.
• Creating and modifying MEP families parameters schedules and project content.
• Converting and integrating non-native file formats for use within Revit models.
• Experience and proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD (2023-26 versions) including understanding and experience in application of the following:
• Creating and managing drawing sets and sheet set workflows.
• Applying National CAD Standards (NCS) including layers symbols linetypes text styles and dimension standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel Teams and Outlook.
• Familiarity with applicable codes industry standards and construction documentation practices.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Valid / Unrestricted drivers license

Work Authorization / Security Clearance:

• Must be a US Citizen for Security Clearance requirements.
• Ability to obtain a clearance from the Defense Security Service and other Federal Government Agencies.

Work Environment:

• Most work is performed in an office environment with potential for ability to perform site visits which may include active construction sites.
• If working remotely provide a working environment that is conducive to meeting / phone call attendance and participation without interruptions.

Location:

This position will be filled through our Merritt Island FL office. A hybrid work environment is anticipated with a balance of working from the office (in person) and from home (remote). Fully remote will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Travel:

Up to 10%. Willingness to travel to project locations.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $80000-$95000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills experience qualifications and location.
