The approximate $3B project scope includes design and construction of a new state-of-the-art facility. The facility will contain 1040 beds for men programmatic elements such as a gymnasium multi-purpose rooms and educational and workforce development spaces.

In addition the facility will provide 30000 square feet of community facility space a below-grade tunnel connection to the Kings County Criminal Court building a secured entry (sally port) and 100 accessory below-grade parking spaces for all staff and service providers.

DESCRIPTION:

As an MEP QC Field Engineer at TPC reporting to the QC Manager & Sr. Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:

• Expand and Develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality associated with delivering a completed construction project
• Assist with the creation of project specific Quality Management Plans and verify implementation of plan for each project
• Assist with the development of Quality metrics that empower teams to review information on quality execution; work cross-functionally with operations to address any trend.
• Manage a team of Quality professionals to execute the administrative tasks related to reporting site evaluations quality reporting requirements and site specific quality planning
• Conduct random site evaluations including follow-up evaluations to ensure corrections have been made to deficiencies
• Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and quality issues across project teams and among all quality personnel
• Act as a resource for field operations with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements as well as local quality regulations including: ADA ASHE NFPA UL ASTM and FBC
• Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations Quality Department Staff and Subcontractors
• Stay abreast of trends and evolving best practices by participating in organizations and forums dedicated to Quality.
• Keep the Company informed of the latest updates on best practices and standards

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Electrical Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP quality control in building construction projects.
• Prove experience in conducting inspections audits and managing quality documentation.
• Familiarity with local building codes safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Excellent leadership communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient with quality management software and MS Office.
• Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g. ISO 9001 Six Sigma) are a plus.
