CLIENT/DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society is a non-profit medical professional society of more than 12000 influential clinicians scientists and other healthcare professionals from around the world dedicated to improving the care of patients with Parkinsons disease and movement disorders through education and research.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Membership Coordinator manages and coordinates all administrative membership processes for MDS as well as assists in development and implementation of new member-related addition this role serves as the primary point of contact for new and current members managing phone and email inquiries processing of membership payments and application/account support. This role reports to the Senior Membership Manager and works closely with all MDS teams and members.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (minimum of 37.5 hours/week):
- Process membership and dues renewal applications; maintain membership records and database and create reports;
- Respond to telephone calls and e-mails regarding membership;
- Coordinate membership information process including general member questions application follow-up and daily correspondence;
- Work with MDS journal publisher customer service as needed.
- Coordinate and provide administrative support for the MDS Membership team including but not limited to assisting with membership recruitment and retention initiatives committees copying faxing maintaining databases and maintaining computer and paper files;
- Assist with the coordination of internal work order processes and work with EDI support services as needed;
- Assist with administrative tasks related to MDS Programs;
- Handle basic research required for projects; work independently to complete projects as assigned;
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
This position maintains a high level of customer service and support to both members and the membership services team. The ideal candidate will:
- Excellent oral written and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptable to changing needs and ability to prioritize projects and timelines.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office environment required.
- Experience with iMIS a plus.
TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Some travel including international may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a full-time position located in our office in downtown Milwaukee WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (lifting packaging etc.)
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Some early morning evening and weekend work may be required to meet client needs.
