Job Summary

Description:

The Medical Writer tasks include:

  • Write and adapt disease-state education (DSE) content branded and unbranded for HCP-facing digital platform content infographics and field materials.
  • Support payer- and managed-markets-facing content in collaboration with the teams payer/MML stakeholders.
  • Provide light publications-adjacent writing support (e.g. encores derivative or abstract-based content) as needed.
  • Author content in accordance with medical/promotional review (MRC/PRC) standards incorporating reviewer feedback through formal review cycles.
  • With project management maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent on-time delivery of new platform resources.
  • Interpret and translate scientific and clinical data into clear accurate audience-appropriate content.
  • Contribute to the teams growing omnichannel and modular content capabilities as those programs scale.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline; terminal scientific degree preferred.
  • Background in Neuroscience or Nephrology required; Rare Disease background a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years previous experience as a medical writer.
  • Experience finding reading interpreting and presenting scientific and clinical data.
  • Experience with graphic design.
  • Experience with reference management and copyright permissions.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Teams OneNote Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proactive self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications Nice to Have:

  • PLUS Experience developing omnichannel content adapting core materials across multiple channels and formats.
  • PLUS Experience with modular or componentized content models (content built at the claim/module level for reuse across channels).
  • PLUS Experience creating payer- or managed-markets-facing content.
  • PLUS Publications experience encores abstracts or manuscript-derived content.
  • PLUS Working knowledge of a content/document management platform (e.g. Veeva Vault) and medical/promotional review workflows.
