Job Summary
The HIM Coder/Clerk is responsible for assembling coding abstracting and performing analysis on patient records. Assists in answering phone calls and requests for patient records.
Qualifications :
- High school education or GED required.
- Vocational training or Coding Certification required.
- Organization verbal customer relations and ability to comprehend instructions is required.
- Computer typewriter skills required.
- 2-4 years working in Health Information Management field preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions as well as to work with the public and coworkers.
