Job Summary
Join Pride Health as a Medical Lab Technician II at Brookfield WI! This is a 12 months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Medical Lab Technician II
Location: Brookfield WI 53045
Shift:
- 3rd Shift / Overnight
- Hours: 10:00 PM 6:30 AM
Schedule: Flexible but every other weekend is required
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $25-29/hour (Based on years of experience & education)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate automated laboratory instruments for:
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Coagulation
- Urinalysis
- Receive identify and process patient specimens according to established procedures.
- Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper specimen integrity.
- Perform testing accurately and efficiently in a high-volume Core Lab environment.
- Monitor automated instrumentation and troubleshoot issues as appropriate.
- Interact with the laboratory information system (Epic) for specimen and testing activities.
- Follow established laboratory procedures quality control standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with another technologist while also being able to perform assigned duties independently.
- Support overall laboratory workflow and turnaround-time requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) 2-year degree OR Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) 4-year degree. OR
- Bachelors/Associates degree in Biology Chemistry Clinical Laboratory Science Medical Technology (any one)
Experience:
- Generalist laboratory experience across Chemistry Hematology Coagulation and Urinalysis.
- Previous Core Laboratory experience.
- Experience with Epic LIS.
Note: Local candidates within 25-30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education experience and healthcare credit.
