ABOUT YOU

You have an exceptional work ethic positive attitude and strong commitment to providing excellent care to our patients. You enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and you desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together for the good of each patient.

YOU WILL

• Assist the nursing staff in maintaining the flow of patients and families through the peri-operative area and even more so in the PACU
• Be responsible for keeping these areas stocked and clean so all essential equipment for patient care is readily available and orderly
• Escort patients to the preoperative area and obtain patients medical history measure vital signs including weight blood pressure pulse temperature and document all information in patients chart
• Escort families to the recovery unit when the nurse requests them and escort patient and family to their vehicle/elevator upon discharge

YOU HAVE

Requirements Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
• Current American Heart Association issued Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English)

Preferred

• Pediatric or surgery experience preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience as a Medical Assistant
