Please note: There are two (2) openings.

This medical assistant will work in a fast-paced primary care clinic at Downtown Family Medicine.Pathways is an addiction medicine clinic serving vulnerable populations treating substance use disorder and other conditions. Medical assistant will work providers to perform tasks such as vitals labs tests vaccine administration and medication administration per provider delegation.

The purpose of Community Health Services (CHS) is to assure that basic health and human services are available to the most vulnerable people in King County. CHS provides direct services through its Public Health Center system as well as assures access to quality services through partnerships and regional programs.

This vacancy can also be filled as a Special Duty opportunity. For Special Duty Assignment interest you must be a Career Service Career Service Exempt or other regular (non-temporary) employee in King County who has completed their initial County probation. You must have supervisor approval prior to taking a Special Duty Assignment.

Note: This recruitment will be used to create an eligibility pool to fill additional Career Service Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty Assignment (SDA) vacancies that may occur over the next six months.

Experience Qualifications Knowledge Skills

Required:

  • Must have Certified Medical Assistant (C-MA) with Washington Department of Health in good standing.
  • One (1) academic year of formal education at the post-secondary level at an accredited medical assisting school or the equivalent.
  • Current BLS-CPR forHealthcare Providersor ability to obtain upon hire.
Desired:
  • Experience working with EPIC
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Experience utilizing trauma informed care principles

Necessary Special Requirements

Work Schedule

This position is in-person Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime.

Work Location

This position is located at Downtown Public Health Center 2124 4th Ave Seattle WA 98121.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
