MechanicCollision Repair Technician

Join the Jo Daviess County Transit team as a Mechanic/Collision Repair Technician and play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe reliable and road-ready. This position performs a wide range of mechanical maintenance diagnostics collision repair body work painting and preventive maintenance on transit vehicles while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. The successful candidate will work with modern diagnostic equipment coordinate repairs and parts procurement and help maintain the transit facility and grounds. Ideal candidates are skilled problem-solvers who take pride in quality workmanship and helping provide dependable transportation services to the community.

This non-exempt position starts at $22.67/hour and comes with a full compensation package including health insurance optional dental insurance IMRF retirement 15 paid holidays vacation and sick leave.
