Mechanical Testing Technician

Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Testing Technician to join our growing team. This role requires training and working under supervision of senior lab technicians / supervisor within the Dynamics lab. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a global TIC business.

Salary: $21- $30/hr DOE

Interpretation of internal and client requirements
Operating complex mechanical testing equipment
Maintaining accurate and systematic records
Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
Performing general duties in accordance with Elements internal procedures quality systems and Health & Safety requirements
Application of instrumentation and setup of complex data capture equipment
Report writing data interpretation and analysis

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Sound mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers is strictly required
Previous experience in an appropriate engineering environment is a distinct advantage
Experience working within a mechanical testing environment is advantageous
Understanding of recognized Quality Management Systems such as ISO/IEC 17025 is beneficial
Self-motivated technician with the ability to multitask organize and work under pressure in a busy commercial mechanical laboratory
