We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program a next generation aircraft.
Mechanical Technical Instructor for Bell Training Academy
Bring your experienceas a mechanic with a high degree of Bell knowledge from maintaining Bells aircraft (helicopters) for an operator or at a Bell Service Center.
Youll have experience maintaining but not limited to the following systems:hydraulics fuel system powertrain rotating controls powerplant systems and avionics/electrical systems.
This role will be an integral part of the team working closely with customers and fellow instructors.
This role is onsite in Fort Worth Texas.
What youll be doing as a Mechanical Instructor:
Prepare classroom for each class and deliver the presentation of the course materials to the customers.
Maintain the Bell Training Academy shop areas in a clean and orderly appearance.
Develop and deliver specialized courses for customers develop a rapport with the customer base to include US based and international customers.
Work with the Training Support Development team to update courseware or build courseware as needed.
Travel required to present aircraft courses both in the US and Internationally (15%).
Skills You Bring to This Role:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree preferred.
At least 2 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting on Bell products.
Must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
Self-starter outgoing people person with great presentation skills.
Skilled at using MS Office software.
Ability to prioritize work strong customer comes first attitude and a positive team player.
Excellent communicator that must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and brief leaders/peers.
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically capable of working on and around aircraft.
Able to climb ladders stairs and work stands; kneel squat sit crawl bend stoop and crouch for extended periods.
Must be able to stand for prolonged durations.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. including overhead and team lift up to 50 lbs.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
Good vision with ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
Must remain vigilant and adhere to all workplace safety protocols.
