As a Process Engineering Co-op youll apply your classroom knowledge while supporting process and utility engineering projects for a variety of industrial clients. Based in Green Bay WI youll work alongside experienced engineers on projects involving piping systems process equipment utilities infrastructure and facility improvements. Spanning Summer-Fall 2027 this opportunity provides hands-on experience with engineering analysis design and project execution and may include travel to client sites offering firsthand exposure to how engineering solutions are implemented in operating facilities.
- Assist with field data gathering under the direction of a process engineer
- Create and maintain clear and accurate design documents (P&IDs equipment plans piping drawings photo drawings)
- Assist with CADD in the preparation of drawings for process and utility system related projects
- Understand interpret and develop design and construction specifications
- Perform standard process system calculations (pump sizing material and energy balance fluid flow analysis valve and instrument sizing)
- Develop equipment lists
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Previous experience with and/or coursework involving P&IDs
- Previous experience with and/or coursework involving standard process calculations (pump sizing valve and instrument sizing fluid flow analysis)
- Previous experience with equipment specification and procurement support (obtaining quotes vendor contact/follow-up)
