Mechanical Engineer Power Generation - Texas

Verto People is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to provide owner-side engineering oversight on a power generation project.

Youll review equipment and system designs coordinate with suppliers and contractors and support the site team in resolving technical issues throughout delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings equipment datasheets and technical specifications.

• Check supplier submissions against project requirements.

• Assess design changes and respond to field engineering queries.

• Review equipment layouts and system designs for practical operation and maintenance.

• Support technical coordination across major equipment and plant auxiliary systems.

• Track engineering deliverables against project deadlines.

• Verify equipment storage and preservation requirements meet manufacturer guidance.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience within power or process plants.

• Practical experience with rotating equipment and plant auxiliary systems.

• Working knowledge of applicable ASME codes and API standards.

• Confidence reviewing technical documentation and working with construction teams.

• A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Previous owner-side engineering experience professional engineering registration and familiarity with digital engineering documentation tools would be advantageous.
