This Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer role is based in Salt Lake City with hybrid flexibility and carries real leadership potential as the office grows. Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering design for institutional projects including healthcare K-12 higher education and government facilities
Complete project designs and drawings in 3D Revit and 2D CAD
Perform site observations specifications calculations and equipment selection
Manage project scope schedule and budget across the design and construction phases
Interface directly with clients coworkers and end users to document expectations
Work closely with firm Principals across the Colorado Idaho and Wyoming offices
Participate in business development including client relationship management and proposal preparation
Support pursuit strategy for new institutional mechanical engineering work
Contribute to internal leadership office growth and staffing as the Salt Lake City office expands
Lead construction administration for mechanical scope on active projects
Mentor junior mechanical engineers as the office team grows
Ensure mechanical designs meet applicable national codes and standards
Required Qualifications
4-year engineering degree from an accredited institution
3 to 7 years of consulting engineering experience
Minimum 2 years of institutional design experience
Strong knowledge of institutional building mechanical systems
Working knowledge of applicable national codes and standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook Teams Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively working toward one
Proficiency in Revit
Prior experience contributing to business development or proposal work
Interest in taking a leadership role in a growing office
Compensation and Benefits
$85000 to $140000 per year based on experience and licensure
