Job Summary

Introduction to the Job

As a First Line Support Production Engineer you will play a critical role in helping ASML deliver the advanced lithography systems that enable the worlds most sophisticated microchips. Working in our Wilton Connecticut factory you will support manufacturing operations by solving technical challenges improving production performance and helping ensure product quality.

This First Line Support Production Engineer position offers the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge technology in a highly collaborative environment. Your work will help drive reliable production processes while supporting ASMLs mission to enable the next generation of semiconductor innovation.

Role and Responsibilities

As a First Line Support Production Engineer you will provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing teams and help resolve technical issues impacting production. You will work closely with technicians engineers and cross-functional partners to improve product quality efficiency and manufacturing performance.

You will:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical assembly bonding thermal flow testing and qualification issues impacting production.

  • Spend approximately 75% of your time supporting operations in a cleanroom environment.

  • Investigate product failures and recommend corrective actions to restore production performance.

  • Develop troubleshooting guides root cause analyses and process improvement plans.

  • Support manufacturing procedures technical work instructions and engineering documentation.

  • Review technical drawings and specifications to identify and resolve manufacturing concerns.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve cycle time quality and operational efficiency.

Schedule-CWW D2: Thursday Friday Saturday Every other Wednesday 6:00am-6:00pm

Education and Experience

To be successful in this First Line Support Production Engineer role you should have:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline with at least 2 years of related industry or internship experience or a masters degree in an engineering field.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing production or engineering operations in a technical environment.

  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly alignment processes tooling and test equipment.

  • Experience using engineering and data analysis tools such as Python MATLAB or LabVIEW.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical electrical and optical technical drawings.

  • Experience with quality methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or statistical process control is preferred.

  • Experience with enterprise or engineering systems such as SAP Teamcenter or Siemens NX is preferred.

  • Knowledge of optical electro-mechanical or sensor-based systems is preferred.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

Pay scales are determined by role level location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to job-related skills relevant education and experience certifications abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
