Job Summary:
Supports mechanical engineering design efforts by assisting with drawings specifications and calculations throughout all phases of project design under close supervision. Performs clearly defined drafting and modeling tasks while learning mechanical design standards codes and workflows. Collaborates with engineers designers and modelers to support coordinated project delivery. Gains exposure to construction administration activities and real-world mechanical design applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in the production of mechanical drawings specifications and calculations with clearly defined tasks under supervision.
Supports basic mechanical layout and drafting tasks for HVAC piping or equipment systems using guidance from team members.
Assists with simple calculations schedules and model updates as directed.
Supports construction administration activities including shop drawing review and RFI assistance as assigned.
Uses basic CAD and modeling tools to create 2D drawings and assist with development of 3D mechanical models.
Collaborates with engineers designers and modelers to support coordinated design documentation.
Participates in learning and development activities to build understanding of mechanical design practices and standards.
Education Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering architectural engineering or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification intent preferred.
Anticipated starting pay range:
