Mechanical Design Engineer

Fameccanica North America is growing its Boston Hub and hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to help design custom automation systems. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who enjoys turning concepts into practical production-ready equipment.

What Youll Do

• Design mechanical systems for custom automation equipment
• Create 3D models detailed drawings and bills of materials
• Partner with controls electrical manufacturing and project teams
• Support design reviews problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
• Help move designs from concept through build test and deployment

What You Bring

• 5 to 10 years of mechanical design experience in automation or custom machinery
• Strong CAD skills ideally in SolidWorks or Solid Edge
• Experience creating assemblies drawings and production-ready documentation
• Ability to work cross-functionally and solve design challenges efficiently
• Hands-on practical mindset with strong attention to detail
