Job Description:

Employee is responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring component installation hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Assemble various mechanical devices using drawings work instructions operation sheets and / or schematics.

• Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.

• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation

• Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.

• Observe industry best practices for FOD ESD and material handling controls.

• Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates.

• Fabricate shop aids and fixtures as required.

• Set-up and operate various pieces of shop equipment as required to accomplish assembly tasks.

• Mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure shelf-life integrity.

• Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement

• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York (Greater NYC area) is $18.99 MIN- $35.34 MAX.
