What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair operational difficulties on heavy-duty diesel trucks CNG gas and electrically operated vehicles and rolling stock.
  • Master the Tech: Utilize diagnostic software repair manuals and top-tier hand and power tools to get to the root of mechanical issues.
  • Keep Things Scheduled: Plan and schedule repairs in the M5 planner procure necessary parts and assist with mechanical write-ups and work orders.
  • Work Safe Work Smart: Maintain a clean organized work area and strictly adhere to federal state/provincial and company safety regulations.
  • Support the Team: Collaborate with team members assist in training new mechanics and participate in technical seminars to stay ahead of industry tech.

What Were Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or trade certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computer diagnostic software maintaining digital work orders and learning new systems.
  • Tools of the Trade: Must possess provide and maintain your own personal tool set necessary to perform heavy/hydraulic equipment maintenance.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift push or pull up to 100 lbs work in dynamic shop environments and perform safety-sensitive duties.
