Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned coordinated and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Performs a wide variety of secretarial / clerical tasks in support of operations for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP). Provides technical assistance guidance or training to lower level clerical employees. Assists higher level secretarial/clerical employees. Organizes establishes and maintains a complete and accurate office filing system of records including employee records timecards daily attendance logs correspondence reports etc. Prepares routine office forms and reports (e.g. overtime authorizations payroll adjustment notices travel orders expense reports). Screens telephone calls visitors and incoming mail; responds to inquiries which require knowledge of office procedures or collection of information from files or other offices. Determines which requests should be handled by the supervisor appropriate staff member or other offices. Coordinates administrative activities between functional offices and keeps managers direct reports aware and informed of pertinent information needed for day-to-day operations. Schedules tentative appointments without prior clearance. Arranges for conferences and meetings and assembles established background materials as directed. Attends meetings takes appropriate minutes and reports on proceedings. Reviews correspondence memoranda and reports prepared by others for the supervisors signature to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assures that proper clearances have been obtained when necessary. Performs stenographic and typing work. Proofreads and edits work for correct spelling grammar punctuation etc. Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer Xeroxing machine facsimile machine collator/sorter etc. Complies with all MPF ISO 9002 policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
General clerical receptionist and project-based work.
Support general business operations by providing administrative support activities.
Under close supervision work to complete defined tasks in accordance with standard procedures requiring some knowledge of general office procedures.
Access store and distribute CLASSIFIED/SECRET/Proprietary information which must always be safeguarded.
Basic Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Security Clearance Requirement: Secret security clearance.
Required Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
Required Skills/Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in a customer or business-oriented position.
