Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned coordinated and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
TheProductionSupervisor oversees the team performing general warehousing duties including receiving inspecting servicing storing shipping and disposing of supplies and equipment for the Ashore branch of the MCP Program. TheProductionSupervisor works closely with vendors maintenance commodities supply personnel and distribution management to ensure timely cost-effective and compliantproductionactivities while maintaining accurate accountability of equipment and materials.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of logistic personnel data entry personnel supply clerks forklift operators and warehouse workers who are performing a wide variety of general warehousing and inventory duties to obtain optimal use of equipment facilities and personnel.
Determines sequence and assignment of work on basis of work priority and operational necessity.
Inspects work performed to ensure compliance with established procedures and time schedules.
Coordinates with other supervisors to ascertain compatibility of procedures among various organizations or branches engaged in logistic support activities and to ensure a close integration of operations.
Inspects materials and approves shipments/receipts.
Ensures compliance with administrative policies procedures and government regulations. Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as promotions transfers discharges and disciplinary actions.
Trains new workers.
Recommends changes to procedures as appropriate. Maintains MCP ISO-9002 policies and procedures and ensures on-going compliance with such.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree and/or coursework towards a BS degree in business or another related field.
In lieu of a degree a combination of college credits professional certification formalized training or education and directly related work experience may be considered.
Ten years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of maintenance and logistic support activities involving supply operations including five years in a supervisory capacity involving various aspects of cost/schedule controls performance monitoring report writing program planning and customer interface.
U.S. Citizen.
U.S. Stateside Drivers License
Active Department of Defense secret security clearance.
U.S. Passport
FBI Background investigation with no criminal civil or security violations.
Desired Skills
Understanding of Marine Corps policies regulations and orders.
Industry Certification
Expert knowledge of military shipping and storage procedures.
Working knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
Working knowledge of GCSS-MC MCPIC.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to comply with all established methods quality standards and time schedules applicable to this pos
