Materials Test Engineer

Element has an opportunity for a Materials Testing this role you will work with engineers and technicians to perform tasks related to non-metallic and metallic materials testing including sample preparation test setup testing and reporting. This opportunity will provide you with valuable on the job experience and exposure to the materials testing field.

Salary: $65000- $75000/yr DOE

Perform a variety of physical property testing including but not limited to; tensile compression flexural hardness thermal conductivity flammability water absorption vapor transmission color gloss adhesion etc.
Prepare and analyze non-metallic samples for testing
Interpret data review and report testing results
Possess strong inter-personal skills for verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues
Perform equipment verification and preventative maintenance
Perform proficiency testing in qualified disciplines
Participate in personal training cross training of employees and continued learning of testing techniques
Work within our project management and accounting systems
Perform all duties as required within an ISO 17025 quality system
Abide by all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations
Other related duties as assigned

Bachelors (B.S.) degree in Materials Science or a related field
2-4 years related work experience preferred but not necessary
