Materials Handler III

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Working under general supervision this role is actively involved in material movements in a warehouse environment. Duties may include loading trailers unloading trailers processing receiving and put away cycle counting de-crating picking KTE carts and may use material handling equipment such as forklifts and stretch wrappers. Working to pick orders efficiently and correctly for daily shipments to customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understands material movement/inventory levels and completes timely processing of assigned tasks.
• Performs material movements both physically and systematically conducted within a controlled environment where ESD controls may exist.
• Processes stock transfers material requests and put-away. Loads and/or unloads trucks as required.
• May operate material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks or other equipment with appropriate training and/or certification. May drive cut-away box truck to move material between buildings with appropriate training.
• May assist and train associates with on the job training.
• Understands and uses the ERP system for material management activity. Utilizes root cause analysis to research material movement and resolve discrepancies.
• Performs cycle counting
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives which include warehouse material flow systems and procedures
• Seeks efficiency in system and process gaps and elevates awareness to management
• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration. Promotes a positive work environment.
• Participate in on-the-job training for warehouse and manufacturing processes corporate policies safety procedures GMP ISO Standards as defined by supervisor.
• Adheres to all environmental health and safety SOPs equipment policies and procedures including any department specific requirements. Serves on safety quality and other committees if applicable.
• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations other regulatory requirements Company policies operating procedures processes and task assignments.

• Forklift certification preferred

• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft office tools including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Multitasks prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
• Ability to frequently sit stand walk reach within hands and arms length stoop kneel and crouch.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to handle and lift up to 50 lbs as needed for specific job functions
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Needs to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor

Minimum 2 years Experience of material handling or prior warehouse experience preferred
